The much anticipated Mayfield restaurant at 688 Franklin Ave. near Prospect Place in Crown Heights hopes to open next week. The soft opening is currently scheduled for Monday. It will have a raw bar and serve seasonal New American dishes. The plan is to start with dinner, then add brunch in about two months. The chef and owner is Lev Gewirtzman, previously of Stone Park Cafe in Park Slope.
