Happenings on Flatbush

There’s a list of businesses to look forward to moving onto Flatbush Avenue, according to the North Flatbush Avenue BID. The first, pictured, is Red Mango, a frozen yogurt shop opening on the corner of Flatbush Avenue and Prospect Place (in the old deli space, above). This is the second location of Red Mango in Brooklyn — the first is in Brooklyn Heights on Court Street. Second, a new salon and spa is coming to 319 Flatbush Avenue, between Prospect and Park. That’s in the old Redberi shop. Elbow Room, a mac and cheese place, will open in the former Skate Brooklyn spot at 229 Flatbush Avenue. Next door a BBQ joint is opening and will serve pork, ribs and the like. Finally, on the corner of St. Marks and Flatbush, a high-end Mexican restaurant is coming to the old legal office space.
