Park Slope's Al Di La to Expand to Crown Heights

One of Park Slope's most well known—and well frequented—restaurant Al Di La is expanding deeper into Brooklyn. The owners of the Italian restaurant, which has garnered hour long lines for tables in its main dining room for years, appeared at a Community Board meeting last night to apply for a new liquor license in Crown Heights, Brownstoner reports.

They hope to open up shop at 791 Washington Ave., now home to Teddy's Restaurant, by December, and are planning a restaurant serving soup and salads during the day and simple pastas and salads at night. There will be 36 seats inside and 38 seats outside. It won't be called Al Di La, but something tells us they won't need the name recognition to be a hit in the neighborhood that could use some more solid options.
