The Library of Congress has been gradually posting to Flickr its trove of more than 40,000 photos from the Bain Collection, comprising the surviving photos of the Bain News Service, a photo agency founded by George Grantham Bain that flourished in the early 20th century.

On Friday, they posted this one.

Then, as now, any day was a lovely day to visit Coney Island.
