The architects and contractors met yesterday, Monday, to discuss the field conditions we have been experiencing. The unforeseen conditions to date appear to be the results of incorrectly or poorly prepared openings from the previous window installations and/or poorly installed interior woodwork. The corrections, adjustments, and repairs required to adequately prepare openings for proper window installation in many cases are beyond the original scope of the contract documents. The architects are preparing new drawings to guide the contractors in addressing these issues. The contractors are also coordinating with the manufacturers to troubleshoot the difficulties encountered so far.

More gaps on the sides and more importantly no support on the bottom
This may be tough to see, but I am holding the camera out and shooting in ant the profile of the window sill. There is no support for the window and very large gaps under the wood. This needed to be rebuilt entirely.
Despite the issues the everyone moved ahead carefully today. By days end another apartment was complete, plus work began in the hallways. We also remeasured some 1st and 2nd floor apartments for accuracy, since these windows are still in production.
